Big turnout seals deals at the 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
Horizon Yachts capped off a successful 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), showcasing a spectacular fleet of luxury yachts and achieving a notable sale, with another just about done. The Horizon display at Pier G, featuring yachts valued at over AUD$150 million, drew a large high caliber of discerning visitors and repeat clients eager to explore the Horizon difference.
“This year’s SCIBS hit all the right notes for us,” noted Mark Western, Horizon Yacht Australia Director, at the four-day event held May 23–26, 2024. “We are thrilled to announce the sale of a FD80 during the exhibition, and negotiations for a FD90 are nearing completion. Horizon Yachts continues to see strong sales in Australia, thanks to a diverse range of yachts and our commitment to exceeding an array of boating interests in the region.”
Australian-Tailored FD90 Generates Interest, Sale Underway
Introduced at the 2024 Horizon Open House in March, the FD90 made quite the impression at SCIBS, drawing significant interest and a contract expected to be finalized soon. Customized for the Australian market, this marvel seamlessly blends modern design with light gray oak cabinetry and warm golden accents, creating a welcoming Wabi Sabi Japanese-inspired atmosphere. A luxurious full-beam master stateroom and four generous guest rooms provide tranquil retreats. And an expansive full-beam skylounge offers a perfect entertainment area to behold, while powerful Twin MTU 1,600hp engines and upgraded VF1950 stabilizers ensure smooth and comfortable cruising.
FD80 Snatched Up During the Show
Proving the popularity of the fast-cruising series, an in-stock FD80 featuring custom interior design by renowned firm Cor D. Rover was much sought-after at SCIBS, ultimately selling successfully during the show. Balancing style and space with superyacht amenities, curves and fluid shapes define the interior, while furnishings and accents by Australian firm ABI Interiors round out the soft minimalist look. In addition to the high-volume four-stateroom layout, a split-use skylounge and thoughtfully planned spacious deck areas entice leisurely enjoyment.
First AMSA 2C Certified FD80 a Showstopper
The first FD80 to achieve AMSA 2C certification, this coveted yacht debuted at the 2024 Horizon Open House and generated a groundswell of interest. As the twelfth build in the series, the yacht gives owners the opportunity to purchase a charter-ready vessel. The interior imparts a warm, serene and natural light-filled ambience with a classy modern luxe style accentuated by dark koto wood. Expansive floor-to-ceiling glass sections grace the main deck, while four well-appointed staterooms offer spacious accommodation for up to eight guests. For those who enjoy bridge cruising, this FD80 boasts a hydraulic folding radar mast design, while the ceiling can also accommodate a one-ton helicopter landing.
V74 Crowd Favorite Returns
Another Australian-customized design, the V74 returned for an encore at SCIBS this year. Lauded for its plumb bow design, bold exterior profile by Stimson Yachts, an enclosed skylounge configuration, and voluminous four-stateroom layout, the V74 delivers superyacht-esque amenities for owner/operators. Attracting a large number of visitors during the four-day exhibition, it is undeniably a perennial crowd favorite.
E88 Sport Yacht Under Construction for Experienced Owner
Horizon Yachts is also pleased to report the construction underway of the Cor D. Rover-designed E88 Sport Yacht, the fifth order commissioned by a seasoned Australian owner. With SCIBS as the perfect setting, a Horizon R&D team from headquarters flew in to provide an update and discuss construction details with the owner.
All Horizon yachts showcased at SCIBS remain available for immediate delivery at Sanctuary Cove.
