Horizon Yachts Shine at the Sydney International Boat Show

7 August 2015

The winter sun shone brightly over Horizon Yachts Luxury display at the 46th Sydney International Boat Show at Darling Harbour in Sydney from July 31st to August 3rd. The always-impressive Horizon Yachts held the Australian debut of the Horizon E84 Motor Yacht alongside the V72 and PC52 Catamaran.

The very popular E84 with an LOA of 90 feet and 20-foot beam, this new Horizon E84 has been customized to suit Australian clientele, offering a spacious four stateroom layout plus crew quarters aft of the engines and a skylounge that provides a comfortable place to pilot the yacht during extreme weather conditions. One of the biggest features is the aft galley -- located between the aft deck and the formal dining area for eight – that allows for easy, flexible entertaining between both areas.
Forward of the formal dining is the main salon as a well as built-in U-shaped seating, both of which are perfect for enjoying the scenery, relaxing with a movie, or sipping on cocktails with guests. Below deck, the master is mid-ship and full beam, with a King bed and plenty of storage space, and a Master head situated on the starboard side; just outside of the Master is a mini serving area, with a sink and refrigerator for grabbing a quick drink or preparing your morning coffee.
Twin guest staterooms both offer sliding beds to create Queen beds if desired and share a head on the portside, and the forward VIP includes dual hanging lockers, a Queen bed, and a nice-sized head. This Horizon E84 is also equipped with a fantastic outdoor feature – a beach club area with an automatic garage door and a Hi/Lo swim platform – for enjoying watersports of all kind. Up on the boat deck, the tender can be easily launched via the davit, and a wet bar area with bar stools and BBQ ensure good times will be had up top. Built with twin CAT C32 1600HP engines, this Horizon E84 offers a cruise speed of 19.3 knots and a top speed of 23 knots.

The very popular E84 attracted crowds from all over Australia but the newly resigned V72 stole the show when a Western Australian family purchased the vessel on the spot during the show. The HMYA teams are over the moon to add more members’s to the Horizon family and wish the new owners many happy adventures on board their new vessel.
The V72 had only been in Australia for three months before she was sold. The model made her Australian debut at The Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in late May in which she won the prize for Best vessel on display, and now she is sold to a beautiful family who will cruise her up to the Whitsundays to her new home. Now that the Boat Show season has wrapped up the HMYA team are busy planning the builds and designs for the models to be show cased at next years shows.

Owners Matt Yapp and Gary Wahlstedt are in the process of designing a 56’ Sports Cruiser and a newly designed E73 in which they are hoping to debuting at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in 2016. The new Horizon 56XO will be a single layer sports cruiser in which features a three state room layout, Hi/Lo swim platform, aft entertainment area with a BBQ, fridge/ice maker, as well as a Yacht Controller making the sleek cruiser a breeze to drive.
